What Nurses Want You to Know About the Past Year

· 1 min to read

In honor of Nurses Week, AARP asked frontline nurses age 50 and older to share their stories of the pandemic, what they’ve learned and how they coped. Linda Sienkiewicz, a naviHealth care coordinator based in southeast Michigan, had the chance to share her story.

“We are always putting things off and saying, ‘I’ll do it another time,’ “ Sienkiewicz says. “[The pandemic] opened our eyes to say, There’s no time like the present.”

Nurses say the coronavirus crisis taught them how strong they could be, how to work together more efficiently and how to quickly adapt to changing circumstances. They also learned that life is unpredictable, so take the time to do the things you’ve put off in the past. Read the full story in AARP.
